The 4339 Bariatric Transport Bed is designed to be a patient bed as well as a transportation device.  The unique fixed base construction with 5" casters provides easy movement of the bed and patient.  Model 4339 is designed with an overall width that allows passage through 42" and wider hospital doors.      The adjustable height feature allows the bed to be raised or lowered from approximately 16" minimum for easy patient entrance and exit to a convenient 30" maximum height for treatment (floor to the mattress pan).  The mattress pan is 38" wide by 80" long.  The distance between the side rails is 37.5".      Side rails, which swing away, can be locked at a 45 degree angle, effectively increasing the width of the bed at the top of the side rails to 60".  Durable vinyl covered foam padding (optional) on the side rail provides additional patient comfort.

Operation Unit is converted between chair and stretcher position by the simple operation of an electrical switch located on the back frame. A 12 volt rechargeable sealed battery in conjunction with an electricall driven ram does the conversion.  The battery is recharged using the charger supplied.  A fully charged battery is good for approximately 75 cycles of operation.  Recharge time -- overnight. Foot Rests / Leg Rests - lengths and elevation are seperately adjustable.  Height of arm rests (and side rails) are individually adjustable.  Rear wheels are full swivel, with a single locking lever.  Front wheels are fixed.
